Rate My Professor Don Boyer

In his professional roles, Boyer has directed the Jarash Water Project since 2012, acts as Research Officer for the Aerial Archaeology in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Al-Ula Project (AAKSAU), and has contributed to the Aerial Photographic Archive for Archaeology in the Middle East (APAAME) project as a member since 2008. He participated in the Jarash Hinterland Survey during the 2008 and 2010 seasons. His major publications include the book Water Management in Gerasa and its Hinterland: From the Romans to AD 750 (Jerash Papers 10, 2022); The Mustatils of North-west Arabia (Antiquity, 2021); The Middle Holocene 'Funerary Avenues' of North-West Arabia (The Holocene, 2021); Fresh Insights into the Christian Churches of Gerasa from the Records of Early 19th Century Visitors (Aram Periodical, 2018); Aqueducts and Birkets: New Evidence of the Water Management System Servicing Gerasa (Jarash), Jordan (Proceedings of the 9th ICAANE Conference, 2016); and Recent Advances in Understanding the Water Delivery System to Gerasa of the Decapolis (Babesch Annual Papers on Mediterranean Archaeology Supplement 27, 2016). The Roman Archaeology Group at the University of Western Australia offers the Don Boyer Roman Archaeology Travel Scholarship.
