As Graduate Advisor, she supports students in the Master of Science programs in Computer Science, Software Engineering, and related fields, guiding them through academic advising via csegradadvising@uta.edu alongside staff advisors.
French's teaching contributions focus on introductory and intermediate programming courses, including CSE 1310: Introduction to Computers and Programming and CSE 1320: Intermediate Programming, where she provides detailed lectures and structured assignments. Her excellence in teaching was recognized with the Provost's Award for Excellence in Teaching. Beyond the classroom, she demonstrates strong commitment to student development and diversity in computing by serving as Faculty Supervisor for OurCS@DFW workshops, such as Introduction to Python for beginners lacking prior experience. She has organized dynamic events with the Girls Who Code student organization and acted as Contest Director for the Computer Science competition at the Region II-5A Academic Meet in 2023, held at Nedderman Hall. French participates in departmental service, including faculty meetings and collaborations like Peer Led Team Learning initiatives for CSE 1310.
