Doug Ritchie is a Professor and Program Coordinator in the Architecture department within the Architecture and Design faculty at Columbus State Community College. He is a Registered Architect licensed in the state of Ohio. Ritchie holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a Master of Architecture from The Ohio State University, with his master's degree specialized in Architecture and Computer Aided Drafting and Design. In addition to his primary role at Columbus State Community College, he serves as a Lecturer and student advisor in the Department of Food, Agricultural and Biological Engineering at The Ohio State University.
Ritchie's professional career encompasses extensive experience in computer-aided drafting and design applications. He has performed consulting services that include architectural services, CAD training, CAD drafting, and applications programming. His expertise and academic interests focus on Computer Aided Drafting, 3D Modeling, and Rendering. At Columbus State Community College, Ritchie teaches essential software tools used in the architecture industry: AutoCAD for Computer-Aided Drafting, Revit for Building Information Modeling, Autodesk 3ds Max Design for working drawings, and Autodesk Maya for structures-related applications. His office is located in Davidson Hall 221, where he coordinates the Architecture program and supports students in their studies within Architecture and Design.
