Dr. Suliman Hossin is a faculty member in Management at the College of New Caledonia in Prince George, Canada, within the Business & Economics discipline, having joined in December 2025. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Management from the University of Kuala Lumpur. Prior to this appointment, Dr. Hossin was affiliated with the University of Kuala Lumpur Business School, where he served as a lecturer, researcher, and PhD candidate. He led the SHRM Lab focused on strategic human resource management studies. His career also includes positions such as lecturer and learning development specialist, with expertise as a soft skills trainer emphasizing quantitative research.
Dr. Hossin's research specializations include strategic human resource management, artificial intelligence applications in HRM, tourism, entrepreneurship, microfinance governance, and HRM practices from an Islamic perspective, often examined in contexts like Bangladesh and Malaysia. Key publications include "Challenges in Adopting Artificial Intelligence (AI) in HRM Practices: A Study on Bangladesh Perspective" (2021), "Human Resource Management Practices from Islamic Perspective: A Study on Bangladesh Context" (2020), "Microfinance Governance: A Multitheoretical Approach for Ascertaining the Wider Stakeholder Influencing Forces" (2019), "The Impact of COVID-19 Outbreak on Human Resource Operation" (2020), "Customer Perception on Service Quality towards Tourism Customer Satisfaction in Malaysian Marine Tourism Sector" (2021), and "The Effects of Social Media Advertising among Eco-Tourists in Malaysia: An Empirical Study on Malaysian Ecotourism" (2025). Additional works address ethical dilemmas of AI in HRM and service quality in tourism.
