Edward Zychowicz serves as the Lawrence A. Stessin Distinguished Professor in Business History, Professor of Finance, and Chair of the Department of Finance in the Frank G. Zarb School of Business at Hofstra University. He earned a BA in economics from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Policy at Syracuse University, followed by an MBA and PhD from the State University of New York at Binghamton. Throughout his career at Hofstra, Zychowicz has taught finance courses at both undergraduate and MBA levels and has advised student organizations, including the Financial Management Association and the Student Managed Investment Fund, which has achieved national recognition in competitions. He previously co-directed the Center for International Financial Services and Markets until 2019. In 2018, he was installed in the Lawrence A. Stessin Distinguished Professorship, recognizing his contributions to the university's business programs.
Zychowicz's research specializations include behavioral finance, technical analysis, socially responsible investing, and sustainability. His scholarly work has appeared in leading journals such as the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of Portfolio Management, Journal of Business Finance & Accounting, and Multinational Finance Journal.
