Rate My Professor Erandi Hene Kankanamge

Erandi's research specializations include multi-agent systems, human-swarm interaction, computational intelligence, human-computer interfaces, and AI for games and simulation. Her prolific publication record features prominent works such as 'A Holistic Review of Fuzzing for Vulnerability Assessment in Industrial Network Protocols' (IEEE Open Journal of the Communications Society, 2025, co-authored with A.R. Aldysty and N. Moustafa), 'Effective Motive Profile Compositions for Cooperative Ad-Hoc Teams' (IEEE Transactions on Cognitive and Developmental Systems, 2024, with A. Arukgoda, M. Barlow, and K. Gunawardana), 'Toward Stress Detection During Gameplay: A Survey' (IEEE Transactions on Games, 2023, with C. Wijayarathna), 'Grammar-based autonomous discovery of abstractions for evolution of complex multi-agent behaviours' (Swarm and Evolutionary Computation, 2022, with D. Samarasinghe, M. Barlow, and K. Kasmarik), and 'Flow-Based Reinforcement Learning' (IEEE Access, 2022, with D. Samarasinghe and M. Barlow). Additional contributions include book chapters like 'Competitive Collaboration for Complex Task Learning in Agent Systems' (2024) and 'Computational Intelligence Approaches to Computational Aesthetics' (2017). In 2018, she was awarded the Rector’s Start-up Grant of $50,000 for 'Game Master: Improved player mental and physical wellbeing through a computational intelligence facilitator for digital game play,' underscoring her influence in AI-enhanced gaming and human-AI interactions.
