About Eun-jin

Eun-jin Lee serves as a Research Professor at the Cultural Heritage History Research Institute of Gachon University, the successor institution to Kyungwon University following their merger. She earned her bachelor's degree from Gachon University in the Department of Chinese Language and Literature. Lee advanced her studies with a master's degree in Chinese Language and Literature from Seoul National University Graduate School of Humanities, completion of the advanced proficiency course in the Department of Chinese Language and Literature at Beijing Normal University, the research student program in the Faculty of Letters Chinese Division at the University of Tokyo, and a PhD in Chinese Language and Literature from Seoul National University Graduate School of Humanities, specializing in Ming Dynasty classical prose.

Before her current role, which began in July 2022, she was a part-time lecturer at Dankook University and Gachon University from September 2016 to August 2022, and a lecturer at Seoul National University Department of Chinese Language and Literature from September 2015 to August 2019. Lee's research centers on Chinese prose literature, with a focus on textual analysis and cultural contexts of the Ming period. Her publications include '미시연구로서의 문집 읽기: 《瑯嬛文集》 연구' in 중어중문학 No. 88 (2022), '백과사전을 독서하다, 『夜航船』 연구' in 중국산문연구집간 No. 11 (2021), '중국 남방과 북방 문인의 협업 《帝京景物略》 연구' in 중국문학 No. 109 (2021), '예술적 역사 서술: 《石匱書》 연구' in 중국문학 No. 106 (2021), and '張岱 산문에 나타난 晩明 의 문화소비양상' in 중국어문논총 No. 92 (2019). These works examine anthologies, encyclopedias, literati collaborations, historical narratives, and cultural consumption patterns in late Ming China.
