Professor Fang Liu is a Professor of Operations Management at Durham University Business School, having joined the institution in 2023. She previously held positions at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Nanyang Technological University. Liu obtained her doctoral degree in Operations Management from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, USA. Her research interests encompass supply chain resilience, inventory management, e-commerce and warehouse management, emergency management, mechanism design, and corporate social responsibility and sustainability. She has collaborated with various public, private, and third-sector organizations, including Cummins, Singapore IFRC, and Meide, to improve their operations. Liu has secured multiple competitive research grants as principal investigator or co-principal investigator.
Liu has published extensively in leading academic journals such as Operations Research, Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, and Production and Operations Management.
