Farai Madambi is a Senior Recruitment Consultant in the Organisational Development section of the Human Resources Division at the University of Otago. He plays a key role in the recruitment processes for academic and professional positions across the university, including faculties such as Medicine, Surgery and Critical Care, Public Health, Pathology and Molecular Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and others. Madambi serves as the primary contact for candidate information packs and job applications, facilitating communication with applicants and referees. Madambi holds a Bachelor of Science degree from a Zimbabwean institution and a Master of Science in Psychology from Massey University, completed in 2017. His master's thesis, titled 'Skilled women ethnic immigrants: is there any point at which their skills are valued?', explores psychological theories including similarity attraction, social identity, social dominance, and realistic conflict in the context of minority ethnic immigrant women.
