Dr Gloria Osei is a Research Fellow at the University of East London. She holds an MEng and a PhD. Her research focuses on nature-based solutions, urban spaces, green infrastructure development and management, and environmentally led innovation in the built environment, with emphasis on human-nature connectivity to support environmental stewardship and social justice.
Dr Osei has experience in engineering and the built environment, including research on the application of green space as nature-based solutions and stakeholder power and equality. She has industry experience in analytical assessments, ground investigation, and site works, as well as in writing research reports and proposals. Within the Sustainability Research Institute, she has contributed to the UKRI-funded BiUrbs project on the economics of biodiversity and is working on the Horizon Europe UNP+ project assessing opportunities and barriers to implementing nature in cities.
