Rate My Professor Heide Lukosch

Heide Lukosch is Professor at the HIT Lab NZ, University of Canterbury. She holds a Dr. rer. soc. degree and earned her PhD in 2008 on the representation of science in mass media. Her academic background includes prior affiliation with Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, where she contributed to technology, policy and management fields before joining the University of Canterbury.

Lukosch specialises in the design, implementation and evaluation of applied immersive games, including serious games, simulation games and the use of augmented and virtual reality technologies. Her research focuses on empowering people to understand and address challenges in complex systems through gaming approaches. She teaches and supervises students in these areas at the HIT Lab NZ, which operates within the University of Canterbury’s engineering context. Lukosch has been recognised for her appointment to the rank of Professor and contributes to research outputs, grants and service activities in her field.
