Dr. Huda Mohammed is a Professional Practice Fellow in the Department of Oral Rehabilitation at the University of Otago's Faculty of Dentistry, Health Sciences Division. She holds a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the University of Otago and completed her Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (DClinDent) in Prosthodontics in 2019. Her doctoral supervisor was Dr. Sergio Salis. During her studies, she engaged in research at the Sir John Walsh Research Institute (SJWRI), serving as principal investigator (PI) for the project 'Bond strength of a direct composite resin to hybrid ceramic materials,' in collaboration with Neil Waddell, Kai Chun Li, and Karl Lyons. This work was documented in the SJWRI Research Report 2017-2018.
Dr. Mohammed presented a case study on full mouth oral rehabilitation for a patient with limited mouth opening at the Faculty of Dentistry Clinical Excellence Day in 2019, emphasizing prosthodontic planning and patient motivation. She is featured in multiple university documents, including the Biomaterials, Biomechanics and Oral Implantology programme profile, SJWRI Research Highlights 2017-2018, and the SJWRI Research Report 2019-2020, which highlights her successful thesis completion.
