Rate My Professor Jackie Daniels

Jackie Daniels has provided long-term service to the department, featured alongside Professor Julian Eaton-Rye and Sigurd Wilbanks in the 2023 farewell to stalwarts. In September 2025, she and Alice Eruera led the weaving of a kahu huruhuru, a traditional cloak presented as a taonga to the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences. Her lab support is acknowledged in postgraduate theses, including thanks for early lab work in a study on the structure and function of the extrinsic lipoproteins of photosystem I, investigations into the role of His-469 in the chlorophyll-binding protein CP47, and the role of bicarbonate in limiting damage to Photosystem II. She participates in department events like the 2020 Christmas party and art competition and engages on social media.
