Jaeha Lee is a Professor and Program Coordinator in the Apparel, Retail Merchandising, and Design Program at North Dakota State University. She earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Design, Housing, and Apparel from the University of Minnesota in 2008, a Master of Science in Design, Housing, and Apparel from the University of Minnesota in 2006, a Bachelor of Science in Retail Merchandising from the University of Minnesota in 2004, and a Bachelor of Science in Clothing and Textiles from Ewha Woman's University in Seoul, Korea, in 2000. In her role at NDSU, she teaches courses on fashion and retail industry processes and globalization, including Global Retailing, Global Fashion Economics, Retail Financial Management and Control, Apparel/Textile Capstone Experience, and Consumer Behavior in Merchandising. Her research agenda delves into retailers who supply goods and services to the end consumer as well as the end consumers themselves, with a passion for creating a sustainable marketplace involving small retailers and consumers. Research emphases include small retailers, consumer ethics, consumer behavior in retail settings, social media analytics for customer engagement, Black Friday shopping emotions and misbehavior, downtown retail patronage, and preferences for foreign brands.
