Jagath Wickramarathne is an accomplished academic serving as Academic Coordinator and Senior Lecturer in Software Engineering within the Faculty of Computing at the Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT). He has been affiliated with Curtin University Colombo as a Visiting Lecturer. His academic qualifications include a Master of Science degree awarded in 2007 and a Bachelor of Science degree in 2000. Throughout his career at SLIIT, he progressed from Assistant Lecturer from January 2007 to December 2007, to Lecturer from January 2008 to 2012, and has held the position of Senior Lecturer since 2012, concurrently acting as Academic Advisor since 2012.
Jagath Wickramarathne's research specialization centers on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), with extensive contributions to educational technologies, adaptive learning systems, mobile development, and user experience enhancements. His key publications encompass a range of conference proceedings and journal articles. He has earned prestigious accolades, including the e-Swabhimani Awards in 2020 as winner and youth award recipient in the Health & Well-being category, and a silver medal for Best Research Paper at the SLIIT Research Symposium 2013.
