Professor Glister's research fields, as recorded in 2020, include equity and trusts law, corporations and associations law, banking, finance and securities law, commercial law, and property law excluding intellectual property and land use planning. He teaches courses such as Equity, Fundamentals of the Law of Trusts, and Advanced Obligations and Remedies at the University of Sydney. His publications demonstrate expertise in equitable principles and remedies. He is co-editor of Hanbury & Martin: Modern Equity, with James Lee, including the 22nd edition published in 2021 by Sweet & Maxwell. He co-edited Fault Lines in Equity with Pauline Ridge in 2012.
