Jayashankar Jayaprakash is a postdoctoral researcher at Hokkaido University in the Laboratory for Advanced Lipid Analysis. He completed his PhD in September 2025 at the Graduate School of Global Food Resources, Hokkaido University, with a thesis titled Application of untargeted lipidomics in biomarker studies related to gut health, obesity, and neurodegenerative disorders.
His research focuses on lipidomics applications, including studies on plasma lipid profiles in preadolescent children and lipidomic signatures as biomarkers for mild cognitive impairment. He has presented his work at international conferences such as the ISAJ Symposium and the FHS International Conference.
