About Jennifer

Jennifer Grafton is a Professor of Management Accounting in the Department of Accounting, Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Melbourne, where she also holds the position of Associate Dean (Global Engagement). She earned her Doctor of Philosophy in Economics and Commerce in 2002 and Bachelor of Commerce with Honours from the University of Melbourne. Grafton's academic interests center on organisational performance management and control, encompassing performance measurement systems, management of not-for-profits, inter-firm control, and research methods and methodologies in management accounting. She contributes to teaching in the faculty's undergraduate, graduate coursework, graduate research degrees, and executive education programs.

Her research has appeared in leading journals, including The Accounting Review, Management Science, and Qualitative Research in Accounting & Management. Grafton received the David Solomons Prize for best paper from Management Accounting Research.
