Dr. Jeremy Frimer is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Winnipeg. His research focuses on moral and political psychology, with particular attention to incivility in political discourse, ideology, language, politics, and leadership. He directs the Moral Psychology Lab at the institution.
Dr. Frimer earned his Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from the University of British Columbia in 2011, following a Master of Arts degree from the same university. He completed postdoctoral work at the University of British Columbia from 2011 to 2012. His academic work has contributed to the understanding of political language and attitudes, as evidenced by publications such as a 2015 study in a peer-reviewed journal on words and political attitudes, and earlier collaborative research on political conservatives' affinity for obedience.
