Jesse Nelson Mills, MD, serves as Health Science Clinical Professor of Urology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles. He earned his MD from the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in 2001, completed an internship in general surgery and residency in urology at the University of Colorado Health Science Center in 2003 and 2007 respectively, and pursued a fellowship in male reproductive medicine and surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in 2008. He is board certified in urology by the American Board of Urology since 2010.
Dr. Mills directs the Men’s Clinic at UCLA, the UCLA male reproductive medicine and surgery fellowship program, and UCLA Urology Santa Monica, while serving as division chief of andrology. His clinical and research focus centers on male reproductive medicine and surgery, encompassing male fertility, hypogonadism, erectile dysfunction, Peyronie’s disease, and microsurgery. He has performed thousands of procedures including penile implants, vasectomy reversals, varicocelectomies, and complex Peyronie’s surgeries, and proctors internationally in microsurgery and penile implant techniques. He contributes to fertility preservation efforts in UCLA’s gender health and oncology programs. Dr. Mills holds memberships in the American Urological Association, American Society for Reproductive Medicine, Sexual Medicine Society of North America, International Society of Sexual Medicine, and is a founding member of the American Society for Men’s Health. He has received recognitions including Super Doctors Southern California (2024–2026) and Los Angeles Magazine Top Doctors (multiple years). Recent publications include “Male hypogonadism: recommendations from the Fifth International Consultation on Sexual Medicine (ICSM 2024)” (Sex Med Rev, 2025) and multiple studies on Peyronie’s disease, priapism, and semen parameters in journals such as Int J Impot Res and Transl Androl Urol (2024–2026). He is internationally recognized as a thought leader in men’s health.
