Professor Jian Yang is the Acting Dean and Chair Professor in the Faculty of Science and Technology at Beijing Normal-Hong Kong Baptist University (BNBU). She earned her PhD in Data Science from the Australian National University in 1995. Her distinguished career spans several prestigious institutions: she served as a lecturer at the University of New South Wales from 1993 to 1998, senior research scientist at CSIRO Australia from 1998 to 2000, associate professor at Tilburg University in the Netherlands from 2000 to 2004, and full professor at Macquarie University, Australia, from 2004 to 2025.
