Professor Jie Yu is Professor in Information Systems and Associate Dean for Global Engagement and Partnerships at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China, in the Nottingham University Business School China, Department of Entrepreneurship, Marketing and Management Systems. He obtained his BSc in Computer Science from Fudan University in 2003 and PhD in Information Systems from the National University of Singapore in 2010. Before joining the University of Nottingham Ningbo China in September 2010, he served as a teaching assistant in Information Systems at the National University of Singapore from 2007 to 2009. His research focuses on social media, e-commerce especially in China, business analytics, knowledge management, healthcare information systems, and virtual communities. Key areas include big data analytics in e-healthcare and fintech. He collaborates with industries such as Alibaba/Taobao, Duckbill Logistic Technology, and local manufacturing firms.
