Dr Joanne Stewart is a Sessional Academic at Curtin Medical School within the Faculty of Health Sciences at Curtin University in Perth, Australia. She serves as Acting Head of Department and Clinical Lead in General Practice. As a General Practitioner, Dr Stewart contributed to deprescribing guides published by Primary Health Tasmania, covering topics such as vitamin D and calcium supplementation, benzodiazepines, and antihyperglycaemics. These guidelines aim to promote safe medication practices in primary care settings. Dr Stewart's office is situated in Building 410, Room 508 on the Curtin Perth campus. She represents Curtin University in the networks of the Australasian Association for Academic Primary Care.
