Rate My Professor John Thong

Professor John Thong serves as Deputy President (Academic) and Provost at the Singapore Institute of Technology, a role he has held since January 2022 after joining the university in August 2020 as Vice Provost. In this capacity, he oversees the university's academic policies and operations.

Prior to his appointment at SIT, Professor Thong was a professor at the National University of Singapore. He holds a PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Cambridge, completed between 1982 and 1989. His research contributions include work on graphene electronics, thermal transport in nanomaterials, and related fields in materials science and engineering, as documented in numerous peer-reviewed publications.
