Rate My Professor Kamalika Mazumder

Dr. Kamalika Mazumder is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at BCDA College of Pharmacy and Technology, Hridaypur campus, Kolkata. She holds a Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) and a Ph.D. from Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), where she ranked 3rd in M.Pharm and received a bronze medal. Dr. Mazumder brings extensive experience to her role, with a total professional tenure of 16 years, 10 months, and 25 days as of July 1, 2025, predominantly in teaching. Her primary academic interests and research specializations include drug discovery from plant sources, natural product chemistry, and pharmacological and toxicological studies of compounds obtained from natural sources.

Dr. Mazumder has made notable contributions to the academic and professional community through various roles and accomplishments. She has served as an evaluator for poster presentations at national conferences and as a moderator in an e-FDP programme organized by the Bengal School of Technology in association with APTI Bengal Branch and MAKAUT. A life member of APTI Bengal Branch, she held the position of Co-convener on the executive committee of the Women’s Forum from 2016 to 2022. Furthermore, she functions as a question paper setter for different universities and an external examiner for colleges under MAKAUT University and other universities. Her publication portfolio comprises 6 research/review articles, 4 conference proceedings, and 2 books/book chapters, reflecting her commitment to advancing knowledge in her field.
