Kanji Yamada is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy, Faculty of Health Science at Juntendo University. He holds a PT and PhD qualification. His research focuses on physical function in patients with heart failure, pulmonary rehabilitation, and related areas in physical therapy. Yamada has contributed to studies examining physical function as a predictor of survival in heart failure patients and has been involved in machine learning approaches for predicting one-year mortality in older Japanese heart failure patients. He has co-authored publications including work on predictive factors and clinical impact of ICU-acquired weakness, appearing in 2023, and additional research outputs in 2026. Yamada has also participated in video creation and public relations for the Department of Physical Therapy at Juntendo University.
