Rate My Professor Kate Wang

Dr. Kate Wang is an Adjunct Senior Lecturer in the School of Allied Health, Pharmacy at the University of Western Australia, part of the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences. She earned her PhD from Monash University in 2020 with a thesis titled "Contribution of medications to hospitalisations from aged care facilities" and a Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) from the University of Queensland in 2014. In addition to her adjunct role at UWA, Dr. Wang serves as a Lecturer in Pharmacy and Early Career Development Fellow at RMIT University since January 2020, and as a Research Pharmacist at Alfred Health since September 2017. Her research focuses on primary health care, pharmacy practice, digital health, medication safety, geriatrics, and pharmacoepidemiology. Dr. Wang supervises four PhD students, four Masters by Research students, and six Honours students.

Dr. Wang has authored 32 research outputs and actively contributes to the pharmacy profession through committee memberships, including the PSA Early Career Pharmacist Community of Special Interest Leadership Group, Australian Deprescribing Network Public Engagement Subcommittee, Australian Association of Gerontology Working Group Committee, International Pharmaceutical Federation, and Australian Health Literacy Community of Practice Group.
