Kay Ellis serves as Senior Administrator for Student Administration in the Pathway and English Language Centre (UOLCFY) at the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand. The centre delivers university preparation programs including fast-track diplomas leading to the second year of bachelor's degrees, the Foundation Studies Certificate over two 13-week semesters qualifying students for university entrance, and English language programs at all levels tailored to various study goals. Housed in the Otago Business School Commerce Building at 60 Clyde Street, Dunedin 9016, the centre provides expert tuition from professional teachers, modern facilities, and dedicated support for a diverse international and domestic student body, facilitating pathways to undergraduate and postgraduate study at the University of Otago.
In October 2017, Kay Ellis received an Appreciation Award from the University of Otago's Disability Information and Support service at a ceremony held at the Staff Club. She was acknowledged for being an outstanding Departmental Contact at the University of Otago Language Centre and Foundation Year, recognizing her contributions to promoting inclusivity, comprehensive academic support, and empowerment of students with impairments.
