Keisha Kibler serves as Associate Professor of Education in the College of Education, Health and Human Performance at Fairmont State University. She earned her B.A., M.A., and Ed.D. from West Virginia University. In her current roles, she acts as Secondary Education Coordinator and Master of Arts in Teaching Program Coordinator, located in Room 313 of the Education Building. Dr. Kibler is the designated contact for multiple secondary education programs, including English Education, Social Studies Education, Mathematics Education, and Spanish Education. These programs prepare students for certification in teaching these subjects at the secondary level. As program coordinator, she facilitates the Master of Arts in Teaching, which has received a waiver from the West Virginia Department of Education to help address the state's critical teacher shortage.
In March 2024, the Office of the Provost announced Dr. Kibler's promotion to Associate Professor of Education and granting of tenure, effective for the 2023-2024 academic year. Previously listed as an adjunct Instructor of English in the College of Liberal Arts, she has advanced to her full-time faculty position in education. Keisha-Morae Kibler holds National Board Certification as a Teacher (NBCT). She co-led the West Virginia Governor's Honors Academy cycle for 2022-2024 alongside Robin Payne, Ph.D., delivering a summer program for 269 rising high school seniors that emphasized interdisciplinary learning, personal growth, and community building. Her leadership in these initiatives underscores her commitment to teacher preparation and educational enrichment in West Virginia. Dr. Kibler contributes to the university's efforts in developing future educators through coordinated programs and administrative oversight.
