Kelly French is an Adjunct Professor in the Computer Science and Engineering Department at the University of Texas at Arlington. She is actively pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering, listed in the department's PhD student directory with an office in ERB 339. Her dissertation committee is chaired by Professor Vassilis Athitsos since August 2020, with committee members including Dr. Alex Jon Dillhoff and David Levine. French earned her M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2016, completing a master's thesis titled "Evaluation of HTML Tag Susceptibility to Statistical Fingerprinting for Use in Web Tracking." She previously obtained a B.S. in Mathematics from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in 1990. In her instructional role, French has taught courses such as CSE 3302 Programming Language Concepts across multiple semesters including Spring 2017, Fall 2023, Summer 2024, and Spring 2025, as well as CSE 3314 Professional Practices. She serves as Treasurer of the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society chapter at UTA. French received the Upsilon Pi Epsilon award, recognizing excellence in computing disciplines, from the Computer Science and Engineering Department for the 2024-2025 academic year. She has mentored undergraduate honors students, including Hanani Pankaj on the project "Q-Learning in StarClash," which was presented as a poster at the Fall 2024 Honors Research Symposium. Associated with the Vision-Learning-Mining Research Lab under Professor Vassilis Athitsos, she has also held a Graduate Research Assistant position and contributed to university events such as UTA Innovation Day projects and HackUTA 2022.
