Zito earned a B.S. in Mathematics from Louisiana State University in 2001, an M.Ed. in Secondary Mathematics Education in 2002, an M.S. in Mathematics in 2006, and a Ph.D. in Mathematics in 2009, all from Louisiana State University. His Ph.D. work focused on the area of differential equations, specifically semigroups of operators as solutions to Cauchy problems, under advisor Frank Neubrander. The title of his dissertation is Convolution Semigroups. Zito's research interests are semigroups of operators as solutions to Cauchy problems.
