With nearly six years of tertiary teaching experience in medical and health science programs, he demonstrates dedication to innovative pedagogies, holding a Senior Fellowship of the UK Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) awarded in 2024 and a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education from Newcastle University upon Tyne, UK (2022). His academic qualifications include a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM, awarded 2018; thesis: Molecular mechanism of Goniothalamin and Trifluoromethoxy-Goniothalamin-induced apoptosis in chronic myeloid leukemia K562 cells) and a Bachelor of Biomedical Science with Honours (Distinction) from UKM (2011; thesis: Modulation of fau gene expression on catechol-induced apoptosis in WEHI-7.2 murine thymoma cells). Previously, he served as a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Pharmacology at Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (2020-2021) and as an external examiner for SEGi College Kuala Lumpur (2021-2026).
Dr. Pang specializes in cancer cell biology, cell death mechanisms including apoptosis, toxicology, pharmacognosy, and extracellular vesicles, with over a decade of in-vitro research experience contributing to SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being. He has authored more than 30 publications, including four book chapters, amassing over 1,156 citations. Select key works encompass 'Extracellular Vesicles as Emerging Drug Delivery Platforms in Triple-Negative Breast Cancer: A Systematic Review' (International Journal of Nanomedicine, 2026), 'Comparative Bone-Protective Effects of Tocotrienol Isomers from Palm and Annatto in Dexamethasone-Induced Osteoporotic Male Rats' (International Journal of Molecular Sciences, 2025), 'Palm Tocotrienol Activates the Wnt3a/β-Catenin Signaling Pathway, Protecting MC3T3-E1 Osteoblasts from Cellular Damage Caused by Dexamethasone and Promoting Bone Formation' (2025), 'Effects of resveratrol on biochemical and structural outcomes in osteoarthritis: A systematic review and meta-analysis of preclinical studies' (2024), and 'Therapeutic Effects of Olive and Its Derivatives on Osteoarthritis: From Bench to Bedside' (2017).
