In 2004/2005, a Kris Wilson completed a summer studentship in the Department of Population Health at University of Otago Christchurch on parental attitudes towards complementary and alternative medicines in children, supervised by Dee Richards and Claire Dowson, sponsored by Canterbury Medical Research Foundation. He co-authored a 2007 publication in the New Zealand Medical Journal on prevalence of complementary and alternative medicine use in Christchurch children attending general practice versus paediatric outpatients.
