About Krishan Chandra

Krishan Chandra Mishra serves as Assistant Professor and Head of Department in the Electrical Engineering department at Women Institute of Technology, Dehradun, a position he has held as part of his over ten years of teaching experience at the institution. His academic background includes a Master of Technology in VLSI Design from Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun, with 77.57% (First Division with Honors), a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communication Engineering from a UTU-affiliated institution in Haldwani with 70.82% (First Division), a Polytechnic Diploma in Electrical Engineering from UBTER Roorkee with 72.93% (First Division), and he is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at VMSB UTU Dehradun under the supervision of Dr. R. K. Singh. His Ph.D. research focuses on the Design and Analysis of Low Power SRAM Using CMOS (Sub-Micron and Deep-Sub-Micron) Technology for Mobile Applications. Mishra's research specializations center on VLSI Design, with key publications including “Study of Low Power SRAM Cell at Deep Submicron CMOS Technology for Mobile Application” in the International Journal of Research in Technology and Management (Vol. 3, Issue 3, April 2017), “Study of Speed and Leakage Power Trade-off in Various SRAM Circuits for Mobile Application” in the same journal (Special Issue NCETST-2017), and “Study of Speed and Leakage Power Trade-Off in Various SRAM Circuits” in IJRTM (Vol. 2, Issue 4, June 2016). He has also presented papers such as “Review of Speed & Leakage Power Trade-Off in different SRAM Circuits for Mobile Application” at the 2nd National Conference on NCRIETS (April 2018).

In his career at Women Institute of Technology, Dehradun, Mishra has progressed from Guest Faculty roles in 2013 and 2014 to full-time Assistant Professor since 2015, primarily in the Electronics and Communication Engineering department before taking on leadership in Electrical Engineering. He teaches subjects including Optical Fiber Communication, Microprocessor, Satellite Communication, Telecommunication & Switching Systems, Radar & Navigation, and Electronics Measurement & Instrumentation. Mishra has organized numerous events, including the Two Day IEEE International Conference WIECON-ECE-2017 on Women in Engineering Conference on Electrical & Computer Engineering (December 18-19, 2017), workshops on Arduino (July 2018), PCB Designing (June-July 2018), and AVR Microcontroller (September 2018), as well as IEEE student branch activities as Counselor. His contributions include committee roles such as Convener of the Technical & Academia Committee (2015-2016) and member of the Training & Placement Committee. Among his honors, he received the IEEE R10 (Asia-Pacific) Outstanding Volunteer Award in 2016 and holds Senior Membership in IEEE (ID: 93922752), along with memberships in IEEE Young Professionals, Women in Engineering, and Entrepreneurship Exchange Community.
