Kristin Lugo serves as Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Physician Assistant within the School of Rehabilitation Sciences at Ohio University’s College of Health Sciences and Professions. A Health Science faculty member, she earned her PharmD from The Ohio State University and holds RPh licensure. For over ten years, Lugo has directed clinical education for the Master of Physician Assistant Practice (MPAP) program at the Dublin campus. In this role, she strategically oversees clinical placements to provide exceptional experiences for students, tirelessly develops new clinical education opportunities with partners, and manages administrative duties for each student’s rotations. Lugo also teaches pharmacology in the program, equipping future physician assistants with essential knowledge in medication management and patient care.
Her commitment earned her the 2025 Outstanding CHSP Faculty recognition. During the 2023 White Coat Ceremony for the Physician Assistant Class of 2025, Lugo announced and presented the OUPA Preceptor of the Year award to Dr. Sarah Alderman for dedication to clinical mentorship. As a Faculty Senate member, she contributes to university governance. Lugo contributed to Aspects of Health Care Practice by Jones & Bartlett Learning, sharing insights from her clinical education expertise. Through these efforts, she shapes competent, evidence-based physician assistants ready for professional practice, enhancing health science education at Ohio University.
