Kylie Davies is a Specialist in Student Administration within the Student Experience division at the University of Otago, located in Dunedin, New Zealand. She holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) and a Diploma in Graduate Studies (DipGrad), both obtained from the University of Otago. Kylie has been part of the University staff since 2000, initially serving as Group Leader of the Course Advice Service. In this capacity, she supports student academic advising and course selection processes, playing a key role in enhancing the student experience through administrative expertise.
Kylie Davies was a valued member of the team awarded the 2025 University of Otago Vice-Chancellor's Award for Exceptional Performance by Professional Staff in the Team category for Project DOUG and AVA. Led by Louise Ross and Kitty Higbee from the Continuous Improvement team, the project involved collaboration with Student Experience and technology partner Quanton to implement Robotic Process Automation (RPA) bots. The AVA bot accelerates admissions for international postgraduate applicants, while the DOUG bot streamlines processes for domestic undergraduate students. These innovations have significantly improved efficiency in enrolment and admissions. She is part of the Student Experience leadership team and has represented the division in university forums, such as a Senate meeting in June 2023.
