Lauren Trillo, PA-C, serves as an Assistant Professor in the College of Health Sciences at Midwestern University, Downers Grove, Illinois. In this role, she acts as Co-Director of Clinical Education for the Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies Program. Trillo obtained her Master of Medical Science (M.M.S.) from Nova Southeastern University College of Health Care Sciences. As a certified Physician Assistant with over ten years of experience, she has practiced clinically in Greenfield, Wisconsin, and brings extensive expertise to her academic position.
Prior to her appointment at Midwestern University in approximately 2019, Trillo was affiliated with the University of Wisconsin-Madison Physician Assistant Program, contributing to clinical year bootcamps, preceptor handbooks, and program newsletters as a contact for educational activities. At Midwestern, she marked a five-year service milestone, celebrated for her dedication and impact on the institution. Trillo administered the oath during the College of Health Sciences Illinois August 2025 Commencement and serves on the Interprofessional Education (IPE) Committee. She co-presented a poster at the 2024 IPE Collaborative Poster Fair with colleagues including Kathleen Post, MS, CCC-SLP, from Midwestern University College of Health Sciences. Additionally, she appears as a contributing author in the 2024 AOTA Education Summit program guide alongside Sarah Keller, DPT, PT, and Kathleen Post.
Trillo has made contributions to physician assistant education resources. She collaborated with Kristy Luciano, PA-C, Dan Provencher, PA-C, and others on 'The JAAPA QRS for the PANCE and PANRE,' an exam preparation book. She also developed patient scripts for Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) educational videos with John Lopes Jr., DHSc, PA-C, available through the Providers Clinical Support System. Her work emphasizes clinical training, interprofessional collaboration, and student preparation for certification exams.
