Lena Vogt-Kendrick serves as Training Co-ordinator for the Academic Leadership Development Programme (ALDP) within the Human Resources Division at the University of Otago. The ALDP provides continuous professional development for academic staff in leadership positions, including academic heads, course convenors, chairs of committees, and principal investigators. It promotes reflective leadership practice, peer learning, and applied just-in-time learning to strengthen academic units university-wide. Key offerings encompass the New Academic Heads' Leadership Development programme, consisting of 5 days over 12 months targeted at heads of departments, schools, and directors; Developing Academic Leadership workshops and courses ranging from 2-4 hours to 1-2 days, available to academic heads, directors, and other staff nominated by their academic head; and Policy and Practice sessions lasting 1-2 hours, open to all academic and professional staff. The programme receives central university funding and incurs no cost to departments or participants.
Lena Vogt-Kendrick additionally functions as the WiLO Administrator for the Women in Leadership at Otago (WiLO) programme.
