Lerong He serves as Dean and Professor of Management in the School of Business at the State University of New York College at Geneseo since July 2023. She holds a Ph.D. in Management from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania (2005), an M.A. in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota (2000), and a B.S. in Business Administration from the Guanghua School of Management, Peking University (1997). Prior to her current role, He spent 15 years at SUNY Brockport, progressing from Assistant Professor of Management (2008-2013) to Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Business Administration (2013-2019), and then Associate Dean and Professor of Management (2019-2023), during which she led a successful AACSB reaccreditation in 2023 and oversaw development of an online business administration degree completion program, MBA program, accelerated 4+1 MBA pathways, and concentrations in business analytics and human resource management. Earlier positions include Assistant Professor of Management at Niagara University (2006-2008) and Assistant Professor of Business at West Chester University of Pennsylvania (2005-2006). She holds current affiliated professor and doctoral supervisor roles at Indian Institute of Technology-Bombay (2023-present) and Zhejiang University of Finance & Economics (2024-2027), and previously at Fuzhou University (2015-2023), with visiting appointments at AIN Center for Entrepreneurship, University of Rochester (2017), and National Chung Hsing University, Taiwan (2014).

He is Co-Editor of Management Research Review (2016-present), serves on editorial review boards for Asia Pacific Journal of Management (2014-present), Journal of Management & Governance (2020-present), and Corporate Governance: An International Review (2018-2025), and holds the position of Executive Secretary & Treasurer for the International Association for Chinese Management Research (2017-present).
