Rate My Professor Lewi Stone

Professor Lewi Stone serves as Professor in the School of Science at RMIT University, with research interests encompassing applied mathematics, mathematical biology, statistics, numerical and computational mathematics, and related fields in biological sciences and physical sciences. He employs mathematical models to study biological systems, focusing particularly on theoretical ecology, population models of disease spread, nonlinear dynamics, and epidemiological systems including their seasonal drivers and mitigation strategies. His work also extends to the statistics of war and modeling in complex networks.

Stone previously held the position of Professor of Biomathematics at Tel Aviv University, where he worked for approximately twenty years in the Faculty of Life Sciences.
