Dr Lin Yue is a Lecturer in the Department of Actuarial Studies and Business Analytics at Macquarie Business School, Macquarie University. As the Course Director of the Master of Business Analytics—the largest postgraduate course at the university—she oversees one of the most significant programs in business education. Dr Yue possesses a robust academic background, having obtained her PhD in Information Systems from the University of New South Wales, a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Trinity College Dublin, and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with First Class Honours from an Irish university. Prior to her appointment at Macquarie University, Dr Yue held various academic director roles at high-ranking institutions globally, where she led teams in accreditation projects and the development of new courses. Complementing her academic career, she has practical experience in the financial sector, performing qualitative and quantitative analyses, managing commodities risks, and conducting forex spot trades.
Dr Yue’s research specializations include intelligent networks, digital enablement, business and data analytics, strategic information systems, and people analytics and modelling. Her scholarly contributions appear in prominent information systems journals and conferences. Key publications encompass “Reconceptualising human-AI collaboration: A systematic review of human-AI collaboration configurations” (2025, with Yijun Chen and Alireza Amrollahi, ACIS 2025), “A Self-determination perspective of digital inclusion: A case study of bridging the digital divide in rural China” (2024, with Lili Cui, Journal of Global Information Management), “Enhancing learning effectiveness in livestream teaching: Investigating the impact of teaching, social, and cognitive presences through a community of inquiry lens” (2024, with Xi Cui, Jinming Qian et al., STEM Education), “Can stablecoins foster cryptocurrencies adoption?” (2024, with Cheuk Hang Au et al., Journal of Computer Information Systems), and “Design of modified model of intelligent assembly digital twins based on optical fiber sensor network” (2024, with Z.
