Dr. Lisa Vincze serves as a Senior Lecturer in Nutrition and Dietetics within the School of Health Sciences and Social Work at Griffith University on the Gold Coast campus. An early career researcher, she holds dual professional accreditations as an Accredited Practising Dietitian (Dietitians Australia) and Accredited Exercise Physiologist (Exercise & Sports Science Australia). She completed her PhD in Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of Newcastle from 2014 to 2018, along with a Master of Nutrition and Dietetics from the same university. Vincze began her academic journey with undergraduate studies at Griffith University, where she was awarded the Griffith University Award for Academic Excellence in 2011.
Vincze's research specializations encompass maternal and child health, obesity prevention, and culturally adapted nutrition and physical activity interventions, particularly for pregnant women, children, and Indigenous populations. Her publication record includes key works such as "Cultural adaptation of health interventions including a nutrition component in Indigenous peoples: a systematic scoping review" (2021), "Effectiveness of Interventions Promoting Dietary Intake During Pregnancy: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis" (2024), "Barriers and enablers to a healthy food environment in Australian early childhood education and care services" (2024), "Association between Bitter Taste Sensitivity and Weight Status, Dietary Intake, and Physical Activity in Australian Adults" (2026), and "Participatory design application in obesity prevention targeting children of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families" (2022). These contributions have earned her an h-index of 16 and an i10-index of 23 on Google Scholar. She received the Dietitians Australia Outstanding Contribution Award in 2022. Vincze teaches in the Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics program, supervises higher-degree research students, and serves on the Executive Committee of the Early- and Mid-Career Researcher Forum of the Australian Academy of Science.
