Lisa Voorwinde serves as a Senior Analyst in the Continuous Improvement Team of the Transformation and Improvement Division at the University of Otago. This division, situated within the Office of the Chief Operating Officer, is dedicated to driving change, innovation, and improvement across the university to create an excellent organisation for work and study. The Continuous Improvement Team focuses on process management, continuous improvement efforts, automation initiatives, service design, and innovation labs. Lisa Voorwinde is listed among the Project Analysts alongside colleagues such as Julia Pye and Mee Moi Edgar, both Senior Analysts. The team operates from locations in Dunedin, including the Plaza Building on Anzac Avenue and 62 Albany Street.
The Transformation and Improvement Division encompasses several key functions, including the development of robust business cases for informed investment decisions, the design of user-friendly services, the improvement of core processes through dedicated projects and ongoing optimisation, and the measurement of value added to the University of Otago. Additionally, the Strategic Programme Delivery Unit within the division manages enterprise-wide programmes with significant change impacts, such as the Digital Learning Environment Programme—which includes projects on the Learning Management System (LMS), Student Portal, Learner Insights, and Curriculum Management System (CMS)—and the Digital Presence Programme, covering Web Transformation Phases 1 and 2, as well as the Staff Portal. As a Senior Analyst, Lisa Voorwinde contributes to these operational excellence objectives in a central administrative capacity at the university.
