Liz Mansveld is a committed sessional academic at the University of Western Australia Law School, specializing in delivering high-quality legal education. She currently serves as the unit coordinator for the undergraduate Company Law unit (LAWS2301), a Level 2 course in the field of Society and Culture, available in Semester 2 at UWA Perth and Albany campuses. Additionally, she coordinates the postgraduate Commercial and Company Law unit (LAWS5508), offered in Semester 2 at UWA Perth. These roles involve overseeing course delivery, including lectures and tutorials on essential topics in company and commercial law within the Law discipline.
Liz Mansveld has been recognized for her outstanding teaching contributions on multiple occasions. In August 2022, the University of Western Australia announced that she received the Excellence in Teaching (Sessional) award at the Australasian Law Academics Association conference held in Melbourne. This honor was shared with other UWA Law School academics, including Associate Professor Kate Offer for Excellence in Teaching, Penny Carruthers for Outstanding Career Achievement, and Lauren Butterly for PhD Research Award. The same year, the Council of Australian Law Deans (CALD) awarded her the Excellence in Teaching (Sessional) for her sustained contribution to teaching and learning excellence in legal education, utilizing evidence-based methodologies and demonstrating a passion for student success. More recently, in December 2025, UWA Law School commended her for Excellence in Teaching during their all-staff lunch event. Her awards underscore her impact on student learning and her dedication to excellence in legal teaching at the University of Western Australia.
