Lori Forrester is an Associate Professor and Lead Faculty in Teacher Education at Arkansas State University Mid-South in West Memphis, Arkansas. She holds a Master of Science in Education (M.S.E.) in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelor of Science in Education (B.S.E.) in Early Childhood-Elementary Education, both earned from Arkansas State University. Previously serving as an Education Instructor and Lead Instructor, Forrester has progressed in her career at the institution, where she previously earned recognition as an outstanding faculty member. Her professional appointments include advising students pursuing Associate of Science degrees in Education with concentrations in K-6 Elementary Education, Middle Level (Grades 4-8) Math and Social Studies, English Language Arts and Social Studies, and Science and Social Studies. These programs prepare students for seamless transfer to bachelor's programs, such as the Bachelor of Science in Education at Arkansas State University.
Forrester teaches essential courses in the Teacher Education curriculum, including EDUC 2133 Child Growth and Development, EDUC 2113 Exceptional Child in the Regular Classroom, EDUC 2213, and contributions to English composition such as ENGL 1113. She serves as the primary contact for the Associate of Science in Education program and has been involved in initiatives like open houses for prospective teacher education students in collaboration with Arkansas State University.
