Lucas Loh Ted Sun is an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering at Curtin University Malaysia, part of the Faculty of Engineering and Science. He holds an MSc and a BEng. His research specializations and academic interests include renewable energy systems and technology, project management, corrosion protection, and agriculture technology.

Lucas Loh Ted Sun has a distinguished career history in mechanical engineering and project management. He currently serves as Managing Director of Colour Case Sdn Bhd since August 2012. Between February 2014 and July 2017, he was Site Manager for the Petronas LNG Train 9 Project with Colour Case Sdn Bhd. From July 2010 to August 2012, he worked as Senior Mechanical Engineer on the Murum Hydroelectric Project for Sarawak Energy. He was Manager of Asset Management and Operations & Maintenance at Powertek Berhad from October 2009 to July 2010. Earlier, at Tenaga Nasional Berhad, he held positions including Project and Commissioning Engineer, Shift Charge Engineer, and Engineer for Production Planning, Optimization, and Performance at Tuanku Ja’afar Power Station from 2003 to 2007. From 2001 to 2003, he served as Project and Commissioning Engineer and Shift Charge Engineer at Gelugor Power Station Penang. His professional qualifications include Professional Engineer with Practicing Certificate (Mechanical) from the Board of Engineers Malaysia (PEPC BEM), Corporate Member of the Institution of Engineers Malaysia (MIEM), and Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (USA). He served on the Executive Committee of the Institution of Engineers Malaysia Miri Branch for the 2018-2019 session. In 2024, the 'Swan' project team he supervised won The Best Inspirational Design at Curtin Malaysia's Mechanical Capstone Design Project Competition.
