Dr. Luisa Campos serves as a Lecturer in the School of Management and Marketing, Faculty of Business and Law, at Curtin University, where she also acts as Course Lead for the Master of International Business and MBA International Business (Dubai only). Her academic background includes a Bachelor of International Business, a Master's degree from Ohio University in the United States, and a PhD in International Business from the University of South Australia. Dr. Campos specializes in international business, with expertise in international business management, strategic management, business development, entrepreneurship, strategic planning, and marketing management.
Her research focuses on internationalization pathways of firms, including irregularities and interruptions analyzed through an event system approach, motivations for firms to internationalize with evidence from Brazilian shoe firms, high-commitment international growth of high-technology new ventures via formal alliances, and the internationalization patterns of traditional Brazilian footwear manufacturers through qualitative analysis. Dr. Campos has received the Early Career Researcher award from the School of Management and Marketing at Curtin University, the Best Paper Award at EIBA 2025, and a Commendation for Teaching Excellence in the 2020 UniSA Business Staff Excellence Awards. She teaches International Business Ethics, engages in the Curtin Centre for Applied Ethics, leads global study tours, and collaborates on international research projects.
