Marama Pohatu serves as a Facilitator in the College of Education at the University of Otago's Dunedin campus, within Education Support Services. As Māori Education Advisor, Marama Pohatu contributes to educational support for Māori students and collaborates with Pacific engagement advisors, such as Meleana, to promote student success. She holds the position of Māori Staff Representative on the Distance Learning Advisory Committee, which considers matters related to distance learning and teaching. Additionally, she is a member of the Committee for the Advancement of Learning and Teaching (CALT), involved in addressing learning and teaching issues and referring relevant matters to other academic bodies.
