Marco Antonio Zonta is a researcher associated with the Discipline of Infectology at Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP). He earned a degree in Biomedicine in 1991 from Universidade de Santo Amaro, followed by specialization in Clinical Pathology and Cytopathology in 1992 from Escola Paulista de Medicina. He completed a master's degree in Clinical Analyses and Cytopathology in 2003 from Universidade Santo Amaro. In 2012, he obtained a PhD in Infectious and Parasitic Diseases from UNIFESP, and subsequently completed postdoctoral training in Infectology at the same institution.
His work centers on pathology, cytopathology, and molecular oncology, with particular emphasis on human papillomavirus infections in oral and cervical sites. Zonta has contributed to studies examining HPV prevalence and mechanisms in clinical settings. He maintains an affiliation with UNIFESP as a researcher in these areas.
