About Marie-Hélène

Marie-Hélène Boudrias is an Associate Professor in the School of Physical and Occupational Therapy at McGill University. She earned a BSc in Physiotherapy from Université de Montréal, a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Kansas Medical Centre, and completed postdoctoral fellowships at the FMRIB Centre at the University of Oxford and the Institute of Neurology at University College London.

Her research focuses on quantifying brain networks and identifying biomarkers of motor and cognitive functions during aging using neuroimaging, neurophysiological techniques, signal processing, and artificial intelligence. She also investigates the brain mechanisms underlying the effectiveness of neurorehabilitation interventions, such as brain stimulation, strength training, and music, on brain plasticity and functional recovery after stroke, as well as the impact of COVID-19 on the brain and rehabilitation services. Boudrias teaches neurophysiology and maintains an active research program in these areas.
